I thought it might be fun to start a new year-long commitment of near-daily updates, highlighting each gig SY played in chronological order. While the main pages will just be surface notes, I've also taken the time to listen to each show I have available, and take notes, transcribe quotes, working towards creating tour-specific write-ups that document the particular quirks of each tour, and maybe some graphs and other stupid shit like that. It's a massive work in progress - I have enough shows transcribed that I feel comfortable launching the concept, but I admit that at some point (for example, June when they basically toured heavily every year) I may need to pick and choose my finer details.

If you can't click a day and we're past that day in the year, chances are no record of them playing that date has surfaced. If you can click a date, you'll find a similar page to the Concert Chronology entry, with a colour coded set list. This codes the songs by vocalist using the same colours as the "Song of the Week" series. There are also a few bullet points, summarizing any interesting occurrences or factoids about that particular gig. Much of this is based solely on recordings, but I'm always happy to hear further details from attendees! The transcriptions of between song chatter and any notable jams, false starts, or tapes played between songs can all be found on the show's specific page, which you can access by clicking the main header for each show.

For what it's worth, I think this page will just quietly exist. I won't change the date daily on the main update page. I will aim to keep it updated but it still serves its purpose without a daily update since there's no immediate social media element behind things (which I considered).
