    Expressway

  • This was the fourth of twenty-four known dates on the Youth Against Fascism Pacific Rim tour in support of Dirty.
  • Another example of the band playing the same city twice on the same day, years apart.
  • Kim has a sprained ankle, which Thurston suggests happened when Mudhoney dogpiled on her at the previous gig on the 26th.
  • Thurston's amp was having issues and led to some downtime.
  • Lee teases "Catholic Block" and "PCH", both of which would be resurrected later in the year.
  • Expressway was 15 minutes long, and ends with lots of tapes and screaming. I'd previously had "No Part II" listed as the final song, but it's just an extension of "Expressway".

  • Return to the Sonic Youth Concert Chronology.
