Shh...
Hey
Describe...
Describe the touch
Do you..
No it's the thought
It's warm and yellow and has a ruffle
It's warm and yellow and...
He's so quiet I forgot he's there
And I think here I am

"Oh Alice.. Alice...
Come back, he's just a kitten...
He's just a kitten"

A thousand leaves for your disguise
Fall on the sky
And looking up from down is a sea to realize
The leaves are falling up and down
Up and round

And this is from my heart to you
A crazy wind will stir me too
And contre de la sexisme
I am with you

Track length: 3:55

Last Known Performance:  none

NOTES:

  • Edited down from a longer improvisation.
  • The lyrics feature reference to Alice in Wonderland as well as "A Thousand Leaves" (the first of 3 songs on the album to feature the title in the lyric.. kind of).
  • The song has never been performed live as it appears on the album (which seems unlikely, since it's an improvisation or very loosely based), though Kim has included some of the lyrics in the spoken word she used to do during the length noise jams after Death Valley that closed most shows on the Thousand Leaves tour.
