Here, there, here, there
Down to the bottom around on the bottom we go
Here, there, here, there
Down to the bottom and oh what a bottom it is

Yeah so
Uh-oh
Let it go

[REPEAT FIRST VERSE]

Uh-oh
You got soul
Let me go

Kiss beyond, kiss me on the lips
Kiss beyond, kiss me on the lips

Ooo I love you

Ooo baby baby, kinda crazy
Kinda hazy, kinda messy too

Here, there, here, there
Down to the bottom and oh what a bottom it is
Here, there, here, there
Down to the bottom around on the bottom we go

Yeah baby
Ooo-ooo
You know
I love you so

NOTES:

  • Working title: "Pete Townshend" (apparently Steve thought Thurston's guitar sounded particularly Townshendesque at some point).
  • The "Skink" title supposedly comes from a character by novelist Carl Hiaasen.
  • One of the first songs written for Jet Set. Played almost nightly on SY's European '93 tour.
  • Also performed solo by Thurston while opening for Free Kitten & Mosquito on a brief Japanese tour in early 1993.
  • Early rough mixes of Jet Set songs surfaced on the internet in 2003. The rough mix of "Skink" features a few different vocal lines that were later re-recorded.
