Sonic Youth – Rare Tracks Vol 1 – LP – 2012

sorry again, if there's a thread about it. can someone gave me more info on this release please? there's also vol. 2. did i miss something, or this comp. just appeared from nowhere and its unofficial release. bought it couple days ago, but no much info about it and it's driving me crazy. there's really much help via google either. thanks!

looks like a bootleg with some mixtapes' content on it
maybe planned as one double vinyl release: vol 2 sides are called C and D on the runout, and both have SY 01 as catalog#

It would be really shitty to use the .mp3s from the Sonic Youth mixtapes as the source material to press those LPs, but I guess there wouldn't be any lossless sources for those tracks in anyone's hands other than in Sonic Youth's, right?

£25 is way too much for these! My local punk record shop has a stack for a tenner each.

They also have two Misfits 'rare tracks' LPs in poster sleeves put out by the same people.
