Yeah, I have seen pics of the interior as well, and that does look like a really cool place to see a show. I was considering coming down next weekend to visit family, and Primus is playing while I would be there. I certainly prefer seeing them indoors as opposed to outdoors though, and was questioning that location. Seeing you mention the sound system specifically does make me a bit more optimistic, considering I would imagine systems of the two stages would be comparable. And if Dinosaur's bass-heavy, loud live assault sounded good with it, I would think Primus's will as well. Appreciated.

I finally got to see Sun Kil Moon live and really liked it.
It was yesterday, in Paris. Mark Kozelek didn't feel too well for the first songs (that's about 45 minutes) and complained about the way the bass was mixed. When it got solved out, he kinda apologized, saying he was 50 and fearing a heart attack with the stage vibrating with the bass, also saying touring meant one-night stays at hotels they had never heard of and in which noone could sleep well...
When his mood improved it felt really good til the end of the show (about 2 hours 30 minutes).
Guitar, bass, piano, drums, and him occasionnally on guitar.
Stuff out of his latest album with Ben Boye (on piano yesterday) and Jim White, and brand new stuff written after a show earlier this month in Warsaw.
This being said, I don't know their output too well (2 albums and that's it).
Many people left during the show, which was strange and super, as I don't like crowds.

bo ningen suck, they're like grand funk railroad, but haino had some sweet clarinet action going on...6/10

I saw them playing several times because at one point they seemed to be on the same bill of so many gigs I went to, and they normally sounded dull and left me with the impression they were a bit gimmicky. The only thing I enjoyed by them was an improv set by their drummer and guitarist at the now defunct Bardens Boudoir in London a few years ago.

Unsane with Plaque Marks, both really enjoyable excellent sets, unfortunately marred by amateur sound guy. The venue has a decent system, I've seen it work well for other bands, but the usual sound guy was absent. Also, the fucking door man was a rude little shit....

yeah that's it, pure gimmick. sort of seem like a bit of a pisstake on that high rise sound but without any passion....really proficient I suppose but totally hollow. very odd that haino was playing with them to begin with, but he's been doing some really odd shit domestically of late.

having said that, the bassist is playing in that new nanjo-less version of mainliner which isn't half bad.

Unsane was my last show too. Ottobar in Baltimore. They were loud as fuck and I was right in front of Chris. I scored his setlist too.

Wait...what? Unsane are touring again? Certainly going to check that out. Saw them a few times quite some time ago and fucking loved their show. Scattered... will always be a classic album in my eyes.

Edit: /Sadface. I see I am just a month too late to this news. Pretty bummed right now. I do see that they released a new album just a few months ago though. Does it hold up? Going to go check it out after lunch.

Maqnapop last week was wonderful. This was if memory served me still right the fifth time that I saw them. But the previous time was in 1991 (or maybe 1992).
For those that never heard of them, they come from Atlanta GA and they've become legendary in only Netherlands and Belgium by their fantastic live shows in the early nineties. And they still return in whatever line-up every now and then. This time they played in their original lineup and they were solid as a rock! Most nights on this tour were sold-out as well, this night wasn't I guess, but still plenty of people.
And the Guinness was on sale, so I had some problems getting to work in the morning the next day ...
