It really is. At this point, I'd even go as far as to consider it one of my all-time favorites. I've had Mysterious Phonk and Blackland on CD for quite some time now.

i actually caved last night and scored Phonk on vinyl off of ebay. I can't wait to hear it hiss.

The alternative is to placing the CD your done listening to in the case of the CD you're about to listen to......and remembering which case that was months later

some cd I got from a random dood on the street. Donnivon Gottfried or something like that. SOme weird dark ambient synth stuff....pretty creepy.

evollove 07.24.2014 09:17 AM

Has anyone else heard INDIE CINDY?

It's the weirdest album. Sometimes I love it, sometimes I hate it. I just can't make up my mind.

foreverasskiss 07.24.2014 10:59 PM

jimi - Band of Gypsys on ipod headphones.

and Pantera - the great southern trendkill - that 90's drum sound kills me( and these guys thought they were tough).

Metallica - garage days

some velvet underground bootleg from 68.

^^^doing exactly this helped Daniel Johnston lay the groundwork for his carrier.

I'm at work and my MP3 player is loaded up with various Live Thurston Moore performances in honor of it being his birthday.

I just picked up the new Owen Pallet album, mainly because of the growing hype surrounding it. I felt I should buy it and properly experience the album if it is going to be such a favorite for the year. Also, I'm going to review it on my music blog. So I've had it spinning a lot. It's a lot like Nat Baldwin's solo work, with some electronic elements that are not surprising considering Pallet's precious projects. It's charming, and a little Sufjan-y, but I need to listen more before offering up a proper opinion.

Also I've been playing quite a bit of electronic shit lately. Röyksopp's The Understanding, Aphex Twin's 26 Mixes for Cash & Caustic Window. I also just bought "Late Registration" and "The College Dropout" on CD for the first time. I had them on iTunes, and prior to that I had torrents of both albums, but I wanted to show my love by buying the actual CD's. So they've been spinning a lot lately too.

Oh, and I've gone a little mixtape crazy with the new AraabMUZIK, Raekwon, and KIT freebies.

The Graduate (Graduation mixtape) has also proven to be bad as fuck, and has been frequenting my car stereo.

ok ive been listening to tons of NWOBHM lately that a friend a give me years ago on tape along with some really cool Black Metal bands who are of the lowfi raw whatever. Overkill by Motorhead is still amazing. then there's the random cool obscure bands that don't have the name off right now.
