pretty much stick to 6th fret while singing...

I honestly have no idea what Lee is doing during this entire part.

At the beginning of the instrumental, one guitar is doing
weird picking around the 7th fret, the other hits the open Eb
strings a few times, then starts trem picking these notes
(listen to the LP for timing):

Eb---22----15----18----20----17---
Eb---22----15----18----20----17---
D---------------------------------
D---------------------------------
G---------------------------------
G---------------------------------

as it gets more intense, the other guitar starts picking
faster up the neck (don't know the specific notes, sorry).

eventually the first guitar moves to trem picking around
the 12th fret, then down to the 10th fret.

i think it moves to this pattern afterwards:

somebody else is going to have to figure out the other guitar...
