As the distorted E note drones, another track of the band playing the main C section riff is 
slowly faded up the center. Thurston's bass is clean again, playing the main C riff eight times. 
The riff continues but they come to a sudden stop halfway through, ending on the D# note, sliding 
back from the 6th fret on the A string.
