NOTES:

  • Early Goo jammage from a 10/27/89 Hoboken rehearsal tape.
  • One of the unfinished instrumental demos from the '89 Hoboken rehearsals pieced together by Lee for the Goo deluxe reissue. Per Lee in the reissue liner notes: "'Isaac' came from rehearsals in June. The name is a reference to Isaac Hayes. We called it our 'Shaft Song,' because it had a guitar part that really had that waka-waka Shaft thing going on. This version was edited together from a couple of nearly final takes. It was one of a few things we found on cassette that was pretty much a finished track. It was one of those songs we just didn't come back to.". Thurston offers: "But 'Isaac' was just a jam. It was not intended to come out."
  • Some chatter before the track, including Lee saying "I don't know where we're starting!" and Thurston suggesting to start at the top.
  • At the end of the track, you can hear:

Kim - "Did that seem okay to you that time?"
    Thurston - "What?"
Kim - "Did that seem okay?
    Thurston - "Yeah."
