Lyrics

There's something warm in your heart
Magic air that you breathe
Something wrong from the start
Magic air that you need
Beautiful queen, skin of cream
Live forever, is no end
You fall asleep under stars
Sea of cream melting bars [??]
Forever together in a while
??
??
Beautiful queen, skin of cream
Something in your heart
Magic air that you breathe
Something wrong from the start
Magic air that you need
TV's on
You're going gone
Giant rats in garbage pails
Inside your room
Tongue in your mouth
??
Chase the scene up
Union of Heaven & Earth
But not conspiracy ooOOOo!

NOTES:

  • This is the third song credited to SY in the closing credits of the 2001 film "Things Behind The Sun". However, the performance credit goes to "Low Priority", which stumped me til I read this news report on sonicyouth.com:

"The week before Xmas Sonic Youth completed work on music for the soundtrack to a new movie by Allison Anders titled "Things Behind the Sun". You may know some of her other movies like "Gas, Food, Lodging" and "Mi Vida Loca". We covered a bunch of musical territory, from some out there jams to a few tasty acoustic numbers. Also, a mysterious boogie group called "Low Priority" weighed in with warped southern workout which was frighteningly accurate."

  • Titled 'Low Priority' because Allison Anders literally deemed the background track 'low priority' in terms of the recording schedule.
  • The sick wah licks at the beginning of this song are also used to open the limited Terrastock 7" track 'Sweet Emotion'. Everyone singing falsetto, sometimes indecipherably, over aforementioned sick wah licks.
