NOTES:
- I'll leave the original observations below, but not being a Blue Oyster Cult fan I was unaware that "I'm on the Lamb but I Ain't no Sheep" is the same song as "The Red and the Black". So, I suppose it's possible SY did record this at some point, or a live version was considered for a tribute, but it also could just be a joke. I know the compilation title and label are referenced on the official SY discog distributed at the 06/13/99 show. I forget exactly where I saw it specified that they'd be doing "I'm on the Lamb...".
- One of SY's most mysterious tracks, which was reportedly supposed to appear on a Blue Oyster Cult tribute LP in 1993 titled "Then Came The Last Days of May". It doesn't appear that this tribute ever came out, and whether SY ever even recorded their cover is debated. This wouldn't be the first Blue Oyster Cult song performed by the band, however -- the fall '86 Flaming Telepaths tour (which, incidentally, was also named after a BOC song) featured a nightly encore of "The Red and the Black".
- Dave Markey, Mike Watt, and Dez Cadena did cover this song on a 1995 BOC tribute 7", so it's possible that it was originally planned as an SY collaboration.
