Last Known Performance: 06/18/01
NOTES:
- Working title: "10"
- The only song from NYC Ghosts to have
vocals at its live debut. This piece is
much more involved and interesting live,
in my opinion. Kim's vocals are more
prominent and the noise level is about ten
times higher.
- Thurston wedges a bike horn under
his strings for this song.
- Jim O'Rourke played EMS synth on this song
for the 2000 tour.
- Various people have guested on live
performances of this song, including Mats
Gustafsson, William Winant, and Eddie Vedder.
- A live version from 4/8/00 was scheduled
for inclusion on the aborted Nevermind
single.
- A live version from 7/8/00 was
included on a 7" in the Black Box set (the
song spanned both sides of the vinyl!).
ALTERNATE VERSIONS:
- On "Nevermind" single - LIVE - ?
Recorded live on 4/8/00 at the All Tomorrow's Parties
festival. This actually never came out, but the
entire show was webcast at the time (the gig premiered
some of the first vocals on NYC ghosts songs, as well
as the only performance of "J'accuse Ted Hughes").
- On "Lightnin'" 7" - LIVE - 5:00 / 4:40
Recorded live on 7/8/00 in Kongsberg, Norway. Jim
O'Rourke and Mats Gustafsson appear. Released on
very exclusive (limited to 100 copies!) 7", with the
song spanning both sides of the vinyl.
