NOTES:
Thought this was new when I saw it at ATP, but it turns out he's been using this gold Jazzmaster since at least October 2000 (during a week of SY-curated performances in Ystad, Sweden). Used for "Strawberry" in the Murray Street era, bumped up to CGDGCD for at least one November 2003 gig, then "Paper Cup" ax for live Nurse action, not to mention "Expressway". Switched to "Rain King" tuning for Daydream Nation shows in 2007.
Given to Thurston by Patti Smith. It's a '59.
