In the liner notes for the DGC reissue of Bad Moon Rising, Gerard Cosloy writes: The autumn of '84 featured some incredible Sonic Youth shows in NYC that hardly anyone saw (this wasn't so unusual prior to the release of Bad Moon)...I remember a scorching 15-minute set at the Pyramid that ended with the plug being pulled (and the Lady Bunny punching Bob Bert in the eye.)
In a 1984 Forced Exposure interview, which is said to be conducted on 10/28/84, they discuss the show "last night (at the Pyramid Club, NYC)" which was apparently a 25-minute set. Thurston discusses playing 'Halloween' which they wrote at soundcheck.
