ANEURYSM '95

Sonic Youth's original intent was to change their name to "Washing Machine" for this tour, and although that didn't go thru, they did perform the majority of the album for the public for the first time. Opening for R.E.M., 8 shows were canceled due to Bill Berry's March Aneurysm (hence the tour title). One of the rare instances of SY given the opening slot in the 90s.

Saucer-Like was known as "Thumb" on this tour.

Becuz was known as "Jim Carrol".

No Queen Blues was known as "Voidoid".

Skip Tracer was known as "Pick Droppa".

Panty Lies was known as "New Wave Bass Line".

Tour Length

13 shows

Note: 05/29/95 show was not part of the R.E.M. tour -- SY played it independently.

Reason for cancellation: R.E.M. drummer Bill Berry suffered an aneurysm, and the above shows had to be canceled while he recovered.
