E-mail I received: "Sonic Youth played the Old Greek Theatre, I remember Roland Howard, guitarist who played a prominent part in the "Birthday Party", played a Fender Jaguar as a guest, for one song, with Sonic Youth, it was a cover version of an Iggy Pop song, "Now I Wanna be Your Dog"." -- maybe the set list I have is incomplete or for another show?
Update to above data: from what I can tell based on a 01/20/89 radio interview, Roland Howard guested the previous night at the first Melbourne show, although the venue was supposedly Chasers and not the Old Greek Theatre.
Further update: I now have a copy of the show that does contain "Dog" as the final song. Harry and Rowland S. Howard guest.
