GOO DELUXE IN THE WORKS

GOO will see the reissue light in much the same way DIRTY did - a deluxe 2CD/4 LP edition with extensive liner notes (again, by Byron Coley) as well as GOO-era arcana. Included in this package will be B-sides, oddities and the fabulous 8-track GOO demos remixed into hot sonic slash.

WHITNEY BIENNIAL AND MORE

Jim has an installation entitled "We're all in this together" in the 2004 Biennial at the Whitney Museum in New York, which opened March 11. The installation is in the restrooms on the ground floor of the museum.

Other SY-affiliated artists in the Biennial include Richard Prince, Stan Brackhage, Raymond Pettibon, and Jonas Mekas. Whitney site.

Lee is taking part in an art show at Gigantic ArtSpace in New York called Gen.R.8 which runs from February 6 to March 20.

He has written a composition for the “GuitarBot” built by the LEMUR collective, and presents a print project entitled Madonna Generation as well as a series of video feedback pieces.

SONIC YOUTH LIVE THIS SPRING

Sonic Youth will spend Spring Break in Texas this year, visiting Austin, Houston, and Dallas on March 6,17, and 18.

The band then performs at ATP UK the first weekend in April. Others on the bill include, Erase Errata, Black Dice, Fuck, Lightning Bolt, Wolf Eyes, Le Tigre, Double Leopards, Dream Aktion Unit, Angelblood, Vincent Gallo, Carla Bozulich and Nels Cline, Saccharine Trust, and Charalambides.
