I love my sister's kids... and I had to do my best at smiling when they hopped all over me and gushed about how amazing the film was.

Last night we took the kids to see this:

It was fun. I dressed Evan up as a little Indiana, he had the outfit, the hat and the whip! The movie was good, totally 'Indy'.

I have to disagree. The mood in many bits was so not-indy. The great thing about old indy movies is that somehow even with "unbelievable" plots they somehow managed to stay down to earth, this goes too much overboard. I can't express myself better, sorry

I watched Across the Universe the other night and I didn't care for it. Everyone else I know loves it though, so maybe it's just me.

No need to apologize, I think I get what you mean. And I tend to agree. It was totally and completely over the top. I think it is one thing for Indy to get out of insane situations, but the whole cast being able to accomplish the same kind of stunts was really quite ridiculous. I had prepared myself to be totally disappointed, and I wasn't, so that was a relief. I just like that my kids are getting to experience a new generation of the Indiana phenomena. It's cool.

Question: What would you rather have on in the background as you work--as in real work--on the computer? A familiar movie, or a familar album? For me, used to be music, but now I find it's more soothing to have a movie on in the background, even if I don't even pay attention to it.

That was a cool flick - saw it on IFC. Lot's of overdramatic people. Reminds me of clicks I've been around.

I saw Crystal Skull and Iron Man this weekend.

Crystal Skull felt like too much was filmed on a set and not on location. Action sequences were mostly cool. I liked the chase around New Haven, Ct.

Iron Man was well-done. The soundtrack was kinda weak.
