Really wanted to pick up the SY EP, but alas they were out. Will get it ASAP!

My most recent album purchased was "The Immaculate Collection" by Madonna. I bought it for £2. I'd never bought a Madonna album before and I thought to myself "I have £2 spare. And this album has 'Into The Groove' on it." So I nabbed it.

The version of 'Like A Prayer' included is shit, though.

merzbow's tumeric 5 cd box set just came in the mail last week and today, growing's first 7" "dry drunk on woman" (the original pressing!) came in.

color me excited.

I just got SYR 3 & 4 off of Ebay. I should get them tomorrow!!

My local record shop hasn't gotten the S/T EP in yet. Some issues with distribution I guess. Anyone else have that problem? I may just have to order it online.

last purchase was SPIKE by Agata from Melt Banana. I really like this record created especially for Tzadik. producted by Agata and John Zorn. It's a masterful exploration of solo guitar music. I bought it last winter at their italian tour.

I had a bit of a splurge today. I went to get the new Ghostface album but couldn't find it. Discovered Virgin Megastore had a 'clearance sale' which actually seemed to be a genuine clear out rather than reductions on the same shit that's always on sale. Anyway, I got:

Bali-Gamelan of the Love God (one of the nonesuch explorer series)
Mike Ladd - Negrophilia
ODB - The Dirty Story (best of)
Ghost - Hypnotic Underworld
Growing - The Sky's Run Into the Sea
Fela Kuti - The Two Sides of Fela - Jazz and Dance.

all of those were 3.99 each which was crazy. They had a bunch of other good stuff but I restrained myself somewhat.

Also got the EP reissue finally....that was only 6.99...

Last one was Glen Branca - symphony nr.3 lp
before that a few records my favourite of them was The velvet underground with nico. The record contains both the "banana" record, and the record with here she comes now.

He did indeed. I like it. It's quite catchy. Fave tunes so far are "Life Is A Pigsty", "On The Streets I Ran", "To Me You Are A Work Of Art" & "In The Future When All's Well".
