77 years old and died at home in Peterborough, Ontario.
kinda freaky considering that's only an hour away from where i am at the moment.

truely a one of a kind and one of the last true old school canadian icons/legends/god

not sure just how well he is known outside of canada, but this guy would sing songs about all the places he's been in canada

i was just there not even a month ago, and i'm pretty sure i never noticed if there was a poster of him in that place or not. i haven't been there in over a decade, so it looked all different then what i remembered it as.

"However, even though Tom and I did not know each other, nor do I think he personally knew any of the current owners or staff of the venue, knowing we'd all be quite disappointed that he could not come and play here, he still went out of his way to personally send us a signed pic, dated Dec 2nd 2007, framed, and wishing us all a happy 60th, from an 'ole h-shoe pal'!
