I went to see Tony Conrad last friday's night. He played a lovely performance. After the show was over, i saw him hanging around so i thought i'd approach him, and had the pleasure to talk to this great man for a while. I perceived him as a very nice, warm, and wise fellow, and his sense of humor is priceless.
He was kind enough to sign my copy of "Musculus Trapezius" and also the program for the event. In the brief chat we had, he mentioned this particular show with Keiji Haino as one of those he has recently enjoyed very much, he also said it's a good one, so i'm very intrigued. Apparently, their collaboration started in Japan with nobody else watching, except for Keiji Haino's cat. They have performed another show together as far as i know, besides the one in Glasgow (there might be more that i'm not aware of), but that's the only one that i know has been circulating. Unfortunately, at the time it was seeded at dime, i suppose i was in one of my periods of absence from the internet and completely missed it. Seeing that there is a thread about it here in this board, i thought it would be possible that somebody here would have the .FLAC files: http://www.sonicyouth.com/gossip/sho...keiji+haino%22 ilduclo, if you could upload your copy, then that would be pretty awesome. I want something better than what i can watch on Youtube, and if you can provide it, i'd be forever in your debt. Part of what mr. Conrad mentioned is that despite being useful, youtube can make any of your favourite songs sound completely awful regardless of their greatness, when and if the recording is bad. I agreed with him. On Saturday's night, i had my mind completely blown away by the Boredoms. I've promised myself this year i'll get hold of a taping rig. Some great concerts take place in Mexico, and there are very few recordings in circulation. I'd often wish i had something more besides my own messed memories to remind me of those good times.... Anyways, here's acidjack's recording of the Boredoms' show at ATP New York last year. Not to be missed if anybody's lacking this in their collection. Beautiful stuff. Thank you so much. Downloading now. I'm so thrilled. Pretty please, do let me know what can i upload in exchange for the huge favor. Meanwhile, here's some vintage Pink Floyd: PINK FLOYD Starclub Phyco BPCD 032 Black Panther Matrix Disc: TECVAL 01 BLP 9251 032 (P) 1989 Made in Italy The first Pink Floyd show ever recorded, one of the two featuring Syd Barrett. This ROIO is of very important significance and features two very rare songs ("Stoned Again", aka "Stoned Alone", aka "Stone Rust") and "Rush in A Million", as well as their rejected third single "Scream Thy Last Scream". The recording has been heavily remastered because of the poor source, and though the lyrics are barely audible, Syd's guitar is very clear and omnipresent.

You're very welcome!
I forgot I had it, all the Instal sets were available as mp3's at the Arika web page. Most of them appeared to be either soundboard or very high quality on stage mics. Would be it that them would be released by someone (hint hint). But it's my humble opinion that they are superior in every way to the aud recordings. But then, that's just me..... |

It does sound great, indeed. Now, if they'd release it officially, i'd definitely buy a copy. I'm thinking this is a much better performance that the one Tony Conrad, C. Spencer Yeh, and Michael F. Duch played in Oslo on February 27, 2008; and that one has been released by Pika Disc ("Musculus Trapezius"). Then again, both shows seem to belong to different bags, and maybe this comparison isn't fair at all. andrei: Glad you like that Charalambides show.

JOHN COLTRANE
"Il Mondo Di John Coltrane" TV documentary PAL DVD Includes interviews with Rashied Ali, Wayne Shorter, Alice Coltrane, Jimmy Heath, Tommy Flanagan, Roscoe Mitchell, and La Monte Young. Interviews are all in English, all subtitles are in Italian. Random screen-shots: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Download links: I II III IV V VI I received this one in a snail-mail trade last year. I thought it was this ARTE TV docummentary: http://db.etree.org/lookup_show.php?shows_key=356382 It was a nice surprise to find out it actually comes from an italian TV broadcast (the French language is quite complicated for me to understand, the Italian not so much). Haven't seen this one on anybody's list on etree, and it has been a little bit too hard to track down its origins. I admit i haven't tried my best, though. This morning i received a phone call informing me that i must go back to the USA to work, so next week is the beginning of some busy times for me. First, some bitter goodbyes, and then, thankfully, a lot of work. I tend to spend considerable amounts of time away from the internet, but i have to say i always miss hanging around here with you guys, because you all have beautiful souls and some of the most fascinating recordings i've heard, have come from you. I thought i'd say bye for now with a DVD i consider one of the most enjoyable things in my collection. P.S. I hope this one gets to atari 2600's and Tokolosh's hands as i would suspect they both would like to check this one, too. I'll miss y'all.
