Believe me, you won't be disappointed w/ "Intorducing The Cosmic Blues". When I saw that in my local record shop, I simply knew that I would love it. & that Sun Ra is amazing as well, so you'll have some good stuff to say the least.

The Fantomas + Melvins Big Band, "Millenium Monsterwork 2000"
http://www.badongo.com/file/2241171

1: Good Morning Slaves (1:47)
2: Night Goat (5:07)
3: The Omen (1:58)
4: Cholo Charlie (1:03)
5: White Men Are the Vermin of the Earth (1:01)
6: Terpulative Guns & Drugs (2:45)
7: Ol' Black Stooges (2:33)
8: Ripping Chicken Meat (1:51)
9: The Bit (5:55)
10: Musthing With the Phunts (1:00)
11: Me and the Flamer (4:03)
12: She's a Puker (1:08)
13: The Turkey Doctor (1:05)
14: Hooch (1:21)
15: Mombius Hibachi (1:30)
16: Liquorton Gooksburg (0:46)
17: Skin Horse (3:35)
18: Cape Fear (1:51)
19: [Untitled Hidden Track] (0:13)

A lot of the music sounds -- not surprisingly -- like a melding between the recent Melvins' buzzing sludginess and the more ethereal moments of Fantomas' vignettes. If you've heard the recent offerings from Melvins or fantomas, there's no big surprises here, just more quality noise. Some pieces are clearly derived from one or the other groups (Fantomas' cover of the themes from the films "The Omen" and "Cape Fear" or "Ol' Black Stooges" an assaulting drum jam which appears in a much more abbreviated form on the Melvins' new album Hostile Ambient Takeover" as that album's opener.) A few pieces and moments throughout can be isolated to one musician -- like Patton's signature squeals and screams from Fantomas' albums, or Dunn's bass pluckings in "Terpulative Guns & Drugs", but in general, the music and musicians complement each other well enough that it stops being about one or the other and becomes an entity in it's own right. Some of the more ambient noise pieces remind me nothing so much as the early noise of Nurse With Wound, and "Skin Horse" features a hysterical Ween-esque vocal line that's a real treat, but not representative of the rest of the album. So if you're a fan of NWW's older noise pieces or a fan of either Fantomas or the Melvins' recent output, you shouldn't be disappointed with this 40 minute set (even if it isn't the full show,) from the Melvins and Fantomas.

Enjoy freaks!

EDIT: And THANK YOU guys for the kick ass sharing! This is officially my fav thread on the board. I will be adding more regularly...

The board has been inundated with downloads all the sudden.

(check the last couple of pages)

I made a mail trade recently and a couple of the discs had problems, so here are some links I sent the trader that I might as well share here.

To keep you from having to use the file merger thing, I did this in two parts, but it will all burn to one disc.

The Police
Walnut St. Theater Philadelphia
Q-103 FM Broadcast
4/09/79

part 1
http://www.badongo.com/file/2238779

part 2
http://www.badongo.com/file/2238809

This was the last show of the '79 U.S. tour leg I think, so Sting's voice is shot slightly compared to some of the other '79 shows.
