Thanks for that note about it being the Glyn Johns mix. The same material is known as the Let it Be outtakes or the Beatles Black Album, and there's one called The Complete Rooftop Concert.

Pretty good, although what sounds like most of the crowd are extremely talkative for the first few songs. Then, R.E.M. finally really gets their attention, winning them over for the rest of the show. This was, of course, right before the band decided to record in the UK for Fables.

Unbelievably there is a video recording (now on DVD of course) of this show, but beware, the band are partially obscured by pillar.

I just completed the download of this one. It's pretty fucking amazing!

It has to be one of the best NYC Ghosts and Flowers era bootlegs I've come across. Then again, I don't have many Sonic Youth boots.

Yeah, good gig. Combination of the songs on the setlist is very pleasing, also performance and recording itself is good. Another one from that era would be one from the Cats Cradle, 5 august 2000, Carrboro, North Carolina, Usa. This one is "extraordinary" gig. Do you know this one? And also well known 09/05/99, Seattle, WA @ Seattle Center Arena (Bumbershoot Festival).

Bumbershoot is a pretty killer set, man. That's the first thing I ever downloaded from dime, I love it.

The Cat's Cradle show you mention is a sweet listen, too. I adore what Jim O'Rourke was contributing to the band, and those two sets are a great example of his awesomeness, and of Sonic Youth's in general for that matter...
