How about I just write a list of songs and then you can just listen to them online?

OR we could all record those songs, design a case, put it in an envelope along with a letter of love or a small gift for the organiser, maybe a touch of your favourite scent...

I get that the ability to artistically combine music into digital tracks is slightly more ellusive to the unwashed masses (a touch of pookie's favoUrite scent), but not for all; and frankly, your cassette-only format is likely just as exclusionary.

Your derision would be better served at mocking the certainly terrible choices in music laid down.

I can't make a mixtape, but if you send me someone's address I'll pop round to their house and sing some songs through their letter box, assuming that they live within walking distance of somewhere where I already am.

Had some setbacks.. including being knocked unconscious by a bouncer and another long week of work..

However, my band-mate found a bunch of blank tapes randomly. I am going ahead with it in any case. Got a pretty good collection of stuff that will probably end up a Side A/B thing. Maybe rock/beat driven on side A and ambient/drone stuff on the B. Something like that.

EDIT: I am really excited about his though and I do want to get some out. I do have an over-arching theme and progression shaping up.. Definitely not just recording a list of songs.. haha. I even sorta wish I had my old Serato digital vinyl setup to mix and blend the transitions manually.. and using real vinyl mixed in as well. At this point I'm just trying to include some favs of all of our and some more rare selections here and there..

i started to make mix tapes in my computer
as making mix cds kinda got old, and take too long to cut back into tracks
so far the biggest one i've done is 60 tracks by Shadowy Men On A Shadowy Planet, where the cd contained only 50.
but i have no way of making cassettes now
but i do have a pile of 45-46 minute mix tapes on my mp3 player
