(it's not 100% accurate anymore in 2015 and 2016, because last.fm was so crap after their new site launched)

I happen to maintain an exhaustive list of all the gigs I've been to since I started attending them 10 years ago. it's quite fun seeing how your taste has evolved through years and how many concerts I've completely forgotten ahah. here's the list - I've excluded local openers who no one here knows

Well, this is going to sound terrible, but this is like asking me to list every single sexual interaction I've had. Or all the drugs I've done. Yes, I should probably be able to rattle off these figures fairly quickly and easily, but sadly that's not the case. And I've only had one partner for going on a decade, and haven't done an illicit drug in almost as long.

You know what? I should have just said it's like asking me to list every book I've ever read. That gets the point across without making me look like a degenerate, but I'm too lazy to backspace.

I should be able to do this...

Let's go way back to the start of it all... No way I can recall all the opening bands, but maybe some will come to me. Some of these are embarrassing, but whatever.

Modest Mouse
Snoop Dogg
Foo Fighters
Weezer
Shellac
Lou Reed
Sebadoh
Lungfish

...

Ok. To be continued, maybe. I think this gets me through at least most of high school. Before I started seeing bands every week, several of whom I didn't know the name of even at the time.

One more I added is Crystal Bowersox, who was one of the contestants on America's Got Talent or The Voice or another one of those corporate pop shows. I saw her by accident. She was scheduled to speak at a conference on Type 1 diabetes. Instead, she decided to do a set because, she said, she sings better than she speaks. Believe me, she isn't all that as a singer, either. But at least I didn't have to pay to see her.

I also amended my list to reflect that I've seen Scott Miller (ex-V-Roys, occasionally still tours with Scott Miller and the Commonwealth) twice as a solo act, most recently being last night.
