 SIX FINGER SATELLITE "SEVERE EXPOSURE" 1995, Sub Pop Another really consistent band, I'm choosing this one over the others because of how dirty it is. Unrestrained noise rock with some sci-fi synths. Ahead of their time...

great band! i think i know this album, and i think i really really like song 2 ( or 1). the one with the crazy descending synth riff

not really into them anymore. when i do listen to them i like their stuff when theyre trying to sound like the hawkwind of the providence freak scene, like on "law of ruins", which i do love.

it took me a while to like it but, it's fucking sound this.
they are pretty important too, they sort of bridge the brainiac/skin graft scenes towards the more prog-psychotic, less structured fort thunder shit of the brainbombs, neon hunk, landed, forcefield and, to an extent, lightning bolt (well, i think mindflayer are more in tune with the vibe). |
