How are Sonic Youth mainstream?

And greatest hits are generally different than best of compilations, I don't like either but best of compilations come in handy sometimes.

Yeah but Sonic Youth are lucky if they even enter the charts nowadays.

Though I'm not from America.

charts are like the hyper-mainstream, TRL type mainstream. Though Rather Ripped 71 in the Billboard which is still pretty damn successful to be in the top 100.

19 of those will be remixes of kool thing.

dj keoki would remix 18 of them and then there would be a happy hardcore version of the 19th one.

My ideal best of:
Burning Spear
I Dreamed I Dream
(She's In A) Bad Mood
Protect Me You
Inhuman
World Looks Red
Kill Yr Idols
Intro + Brave Men Run (In My Family)
I Love Her All The Time
Death Valley '69
Hallowe'en
Tom Violence
Shadow Of A Doubt
Expressway To Yr Skull
Schizophrenia
Stereo Sanctity
Kotton Krown
Teen Age Riot
'Cross The Breeze
The Sprawl
Eric's Trip
Hey Joni
Candle
Trilogy
Kool Thing
Titanium Expose
100%
Swimsuit Issue
Theresa's Sound World
Sugar Kane
Bull In The Heather
Washing Machine
Diamond Sea
Rain On Tin
Karen Revisited
Pattern Recognition
Dripping Dream

Nothing from A Thousand Leaves, NYC Ghosts + Flowers and Rather Ripped, because I still don't have those albums. This would have to be a triple album or a boxset.
