I've not told anyone that I can't stop listening to Iron Maiden lately. So I might as well do that now.

There's one Lohan song on a mix CD someone sent me. Didn't bother to listen to more though, is it really worth it?

My neices adore High School Musical. It's really rather infectious, but then I am a not-very-secretly gay man in a straight man's body (as it were).

Here are two that I had two sneak. When I was in Jr. High (7th grade), my brother and I would carpool with two other guys. They were such mama's boys. Anyway, their mom would drive in the afternoon and she always had a stop to make. We stopped at this store that was like a Wal-Mart before there was Wal-Mart and I headed straight to the music department. Picked up 'Speak Of The Devil' and those two guys ratted me out to their mom. She asked to see the tape and was a-gassed when she saw the cover. She said she was going to mention it to my mom, but my mom never mentioned it to me.

During that same period of time (after my parents divorced), I tagged along with my dad for a trip to the mall. I ended up buying Uriah Heep's, 'Abominog' and I remember my dad saying something like......"it's a lot easier to argue with your mother about the music you buy when pictures of demons aren't on the cover.'

hahahahah! so true!

my folks would let me listen to anything, but they always made sure to tell me they thought that the bands I listened to were on drugs.

ha ha!

that is until my younger bro got fed up with it and asked my mom, "Oh yeah? what about Jose 'drogadicto' Jose?"

mom shut up quick

Not ashamed of anything I like. Maybe I'd be ashamed and would keep it as a secret, if I liked Nazi Rock. Not National Socialist Black Metal, because I can imagine to like some of it, but Nazi Rock, like Störkraft. Found nothing of Störkraft on youtube, but of Sturmwehr: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BYHavKune4.

Maybe Nazi Rock is the only genre I entirely refuse. The only one. Apart from the genre Village People can be subsumed obviously.

I guess I'll distinguish "secret" as music that I like but wouldn't really be apparent if you knew me/my tastes. As in if it came on the radio, I would turn it up but don't really listen to much on my own.

Led Zeppelin, Tom Petty, Steely Dan (The Royal Scam is an excellent album).

Can't think of any more.

I like some Bloc Party singles like the prayer and flux, I thought they were pretty catchy songs! I hate everything else they made though.
And once I had Make damn sure by Taking back sunday in my head for WEEKS! It was horrible...

the prayer (except maybe for the chorus) is a great song. reminds me of TVOTR.

I liked that song because it sounded nothing like their other songs. They've made a lot of shit.
