Shameless namedrop but I once played bass with the drummer from Thee Hypnotics and my speaker cabinet literally caught fire midway through. Not just melting down. Actual flames. Absolutely true story.

While perhaps not the heaviest, surely Tad put in a good showing on both counts. Also I attended one of the Power of the Riff Fests (forget which year), the wife and I were eating on a picnic bench between bands, and a truely massive metaller sat down and was being interviewed by some metal press guys, bench nearly toppled, food nearly spilled all over ourselves, I was afraid my leg was going to get pinned between the bench and the pavement. Not sure who that was, but he might win this contest.
