[Rocket Baby Dolls]

Hi,

Years ago i bought a box full of various white label promo cassettes (Just for the 2 Smashing Pumpkins ones), i put the rest into a box and forgot about them. I'm moving house soon and i found the box again last night. I've been looking online and all the cassettes are legit (Matching them with discographies and peoples collections, etc...) but i can't find any information on the Sonic Youth ones i have. I thought i had 3 but i seem to have misplaced 1 since last night. I've checked on the discography and various fan sites but i've hit a dead end so i hope you can help me out. I'll give you the info on the 2 i have and work on getting some pics up.

Thats the blurb on the front cover, aswell as the company details and the band name on the side. The cover is pastel green. The tape is a standard non descript cassette you find with all white labels with the standard lettering type (Those rub off letters/letraset of the band name and nothing else)

Description: White cover, black text, the tape again is non-descript with those rub on letters. The cassette looks exactly the same as some of the Nine Inch Nails and Smashing Pumpkins white label ones you see on discography sites (But obviously with Sonic Youth's music and name)

I'll see if i can find the 3rd one.

Hi again,

Thankyou for your replies and interest in these cassettes. I'm glad i could contribute to the Discography and make you aware of these unknown promo's.

Unfortunately a few hours after posting here my girlfriend had a phone call, her mum is suffering from Multiple Sclerosis and learnt it's advancing at an accelerated rate so we're having to relocate ASAP as she's in need of a second carer. We're having to uproot from the Midlands of England to South Scotland within a couple of weeks.

Long story short i'm passing on a lot of stuff and i put the cassettes on ebay, in hindsight i should of put out a post here as i know being fans it'll go to a good home, but due to the news i wasn't thinking, due to my girlfriends mom condition and the 'oh crap' we're moving.

I'm not going to post a link to the ebay auctions as it just feels like a shameless cash-in and it pee'd me off when people did that on the Smashing Pumpkins site i used to run. I'm just making people aware that they're on the market going for £0.01 . Aslong as they go to a good home i don't care about the price.

So yeah, after a few months of good news its been a week of bad news.
