Hi, I'm new here...

I searched the forum for something about the Sonic Youth DJ Hour from 2002, but I couldn't find anything (although I'm sure it's been discussed somewhere). I had received a free copy because I worked for college radio. Anyway, it got damaged and wouldn't play so I threw it out.

My question is specific: who does the cover of "Sitting in the Park" that Thurston (I think) introduces? It's a lo-fi, minimal, sweet song, I think it's just 2 women in the band, the something Sisters, maybe? This has been driving me crazy for years!

Never heard the DJ hour but it might be the Billotte sisters' ( Quix*o*tic ) version of "Sitting In The Park" that is in their "Mortal Mirror" album, maybe?
p.s. welcome to the board!

Yes, it's Quix*o*tic.

There is another Sonic Youth DJ Hour as well, two programs in all. There's also a VJ segment with the Austrailian show "Rave" (think that's what it is/was called) from around the same time.

The info got deleted when the old board was scrapped for this new one, li_lo.
