In the demo version of that song, the lyric was "Girls just wanna settle down with a rich guy, make babies, buy shoes and have lunch with their friends at fancy restaurants", but Ms Lauper objected on the grounds that the tune only allowed for seven syllables, so it got changed to "Girls just wan-na have fu-un". True fact. Maybe.
