I bet it would be easier to post links to 100 BAD Asian bands than it would be good ones.

Very few Asian bands ever really had any serious impact on me. Most seem to be some weird tacky interpretation of other music.

Afrirampo was fun live, their albums were kinda boring though.
Les Rallizes Denudes kick total ass.
Acid Mothers Temple can be amazing sometimes...even though their newer stuff has gotten a little weak.
Boris is really good, even if not all that original.

I just firmly feel most music, regardless of where it comes from, sucks. So in theory, music sucks....just, what little I come across that I enjoy becomes, at times, almost vital to my own healthy existence. I'd likely have offed myself a long time ago if it weren't for what few artists I absolutely love.

In other words...life without the Stooges.Sonic Youth/Pere Ubu would just be super boring.

Only if more folks realized this. I've got into some really heated debates on this very topic on another forum I frequent recently. I can't dig all that "my opinion on music is fact" type shit.
