The road was empty. Below in the little valley the still gray serpentine of a river. Motionless and precise. Along the shore a burden of dead reeds. Are you okay? he said. The boy nodded. Then they set out along the blacktop in the gunmetal light, shuffling through the ash, each the other's world entire."

It has some elements which may be horrifying, so be prepared. The best way in which this book has been described, that I like, is that it showcases both the heights that humanity can ascend and the depths it can plunge itself into... Read it...

I'll get it first chance. I've been looking for some post apocalyptic loving, so it sounds good to me.

when I was 13 I used to hope and pray that the world would turn out like Mad Max soon (not much has changed).
