Hmmm...The only thing that's always bothered me about the whole 'Lou's solo album theory' is the fact that Squeeze sounds so much like Loaded (more so than most fans will even admit). Either Lou must have had a tremendous impact on Doug, or Doug must have had a much larger hand in the two previous LPs than what most people have let on.

that record is awful. the only cool song is 'diesal power' with kool keith. i do like 'music for the gilted generation' though, just some heavy brit acid house techno stuff, summer 2005 i was taking ecstasy once or twice a week and that record and chemical brother 'dig your own whole' i prolly listened to more than any other record. pretty embarassing.
