slanted=fall ripoff or not it's one of mine favorites
crooked=depens on my mood
wowee zowee=terribele overated not structured mesh of some good songs and some really really irritating
brighten=it's ok
terror=is a bit underated but not really that fucking good.

i don't get the "fall ripoff" tag. they have maybe three songs that sound like the fall.

i liked one or two songs but was never that into them and i never understood the fall reference at all. malkmus solo stuff is pretty awful if you ask me.

Never got the Fall references? Conduit for Sale is New Face in Hell. It's a pretty blatant and obvious reference. Half of Slanted and Westing sound like half-assed Fall songs. Hell, Malkmus himself talks about padding the albums with Hex Enduction Hour ripoff songs.
