ok cool i'll try to get it right now. i used to own it years ago but it just never did anything for me, but back then i was still probably looking for the heavy metal vomit party of zen arcade.

After Zen Arcade, I'd actually say the "Eight Miles High" single should be next. Metal Circus to me is their best achievement before leaving hardcore behind (which Zen Arcade essentially did.) Agree New Day was still a great album, but after that I wouldn't bother as it starts to melt into Sugar...

I've got a few different copies of Zen Arcade outtakes, rough mixes etc including the worst-for-the-money-i-paid cd boot Now And Zen.

'Some Kind Of Fun' is a great ZA outtake song...think I only have one show in the nearly 50 90min audio tapes of Husker live shows that they play it.

Also have a ZA rehearsal tape that sounds bad (recorded in another room sounds like) but is pretty interesting for die hards.

Uploaded a decent sounding 1980 show a while back, I'll repost it if anyone is interested - a few songs on there that aren't to be found anywhere else.

Standing By The Sea was originally gonna be on Metal Circus. Something happened where they couldnt complete the tracks. Bunch of the songs that didnt make it were never played live. Ever heard the Metal Circus outtakes? They're pretty good.

yeah actually maybe thats what im thinking of.

ok the song new day rising is really fucking good and kicking my ass at the moment. i absolutely love that background harmonic vocal part. kinda that weird kiddy voice like from hare krishna. man bob's vocals rule so goddamn hard on this song.

yeah i'm sorry i called this album inept because girl who lives on heaven hill is probably my new favorite grant hart song.

i apologize is still weak as all hell though and dated real badly.

all in all i think this album screams "i'm addicted to heroin."
