DAYDREAM NATION 2xCD DELUXE EDITION #1 REISSUE OF 2007 IN ROLLING STONE
The Daydream Nation Deluxe Edition relased in 2007 has been hailed by Rolling Stone as the #1 reissue of the year. The same publication previously declared DDN as one of 'The 500 Greatest Albums of All-Time.' The record was also honored as one of the first 200 albums chosen by the Library of Congress to be included in the National Recording Registry for their historic, cultural or aesthetic importance. The two-disc set has been issued by Geffen Records and features bonus tracks, new liner notes, and unseen band photos. Further on the plus side, RS also put "Magic" at number two on their top fifty albums list. On the negative side, RS somehow did not include "Earth Intruders (Mark Stent Extended Mix)" on their rather abysmal list for the top 100 songs of the year. They missed some others too, although the top songs list is always, of course, very pop singles-friendly. |
