Go see Laurie Anderson live. Go on, do it!- now!!

I saw her on Wednesday night, it was a really interesting and facinating show, she seems to have gotten a little more overtly political in her commentary, which is only a good thing if you ask me. Atari, knower of things Laurie Anderson related, is Homeland gearing up towards an album release? I really hope the stuff she played will make it to record, including a kind of dance track "Only An Expert Can Deal With A Problem". Laurie Anderson is a facinating live performance, though considering my last gig was Merzbow where the crowd looked like labotamy patients, you couldn't move at the Barbican for pretentious looking arty types - I saw berrets - I saw BERRETS!!

And no, she didn't play O Superman.

And Rob I'll never grow tired of your elaborate diatrides on why she sucks...

Yes, "Only An Expert" is especially more directly political than usual.

And yeah, that one is sort of techno-funky, but she did some of that on Bright Red, so it's not any shocker.

Homeland may appear this summer, or it may be next year; I'm unsure.

Also, she's been streamlining the amount of equipment she has to carry around for many years now. There's a bit she does on The End of The Moon performances about it. I just thought I'd write that in case anyone goes to a show

and expects a major production. She just did a West Coast jaunt before she headed back to Europe.
