Really? Wow I thought it was yesterday I last talked to you... turns out it was the 8th! Crazy.

Was it a fun enlightening time?

No. I've given up on women, though I secretly hope they wake up at some point in their miserable, immature lives. And by women, I mean woman. And by woman, I mean girl. And by girl, well.. you know.

Like Derek said, I had this problem on a friend's computer (never gotten a virus myself, ever, personally -- and I've never used any virus scanners, just clean the registry often) and I simply renamed whatever the .exe name is for malwarebytes -- what is it, mbwa or something? That worked for me. There's all sorts of free scanners, for example super anti spyware, which will do the same thing, and most companies build not only installs, but separate .exe's to open that can't be blocked by any known trojans. It wasn't enough to save my friend's computer, though I blocked the virus for long enough to be able to burn all the important files on his comp and then reinstall XP. It still took a good 13 hours to save it. What a fun night, eye roll and all that.

You could have just uninstalled it then reinstalled it without having to mess around with the files.

I think there is something up with one of the computers in my house. The internet downloads are crazy and no one has been 'doing' anything. :/

No, because the malware will block download stuff, usually, and ALWAYS block the ability to go to certain websites.
