Really? I find both Ballard and Burroughs pretty regularly in stores...

Well, we -- at one point -- had 3 book stores in columbus, Indiana, USA and I never once saw either author's books. I might have seen NAKED LUNCH somewhere once, who knows. I've never even seen their books at Borders, actually. I would LOVE to visit a bookstore that had books I actually gave a shit about!

Yeh, I guess it depends on how libraries and such are run in each city, after all, one may well be unlucky...
In my city the (public) library of the local university has 28 Burroughs' books (in english and translated in italian) and 15 Ballard's, in its different "offices" around the city.
I guess it's not everything they wrote, but it's a good start (in bookstores it's quite common to find their books, in case something is missing in libraries).
BTW I didn't mean to hijack the thread, that post o' mine was just something that came to my mind about ebooks and shit.
Damn I can't type today, argh.

The libraries in the city have all those types of books, the library here in suburbia? No chance.
