I used to be one of the anti-Pete brigade, but having seen him perform I'd prefer for him to get clean than die. He's not the genius that many would like to paint him as, but he's not the anti-Christ either.

Beats me how he's kept out of prison too though.

He nearly got me beaten up once, was at a Sleater-Kinney gig in a venue that became a club after, was talking to these blokes about the amazing performance SK had just given and they seemed unimpressed "Nothing compared to Pete"

When I pointed out that the best thing he could do was to emulate Kurt Cobain's final moment, they we're even less impressed.

My mate told me that when I went to the toilet they were actually concidering violence for me daring to disrespect their hero.
