A question for flickr users:
how annoying is the "social network" component? I don't give a duck about making "friends" there, but I wouldn't mind some comments on my pics, so I'd gladly accept opinions etc, but I'd hate to get loads of stupid OT comments or pointless stuff etc... I'm a grumpy old man. Oh, and if there are better options than flickr lemme know, e he heh eheeehe.

I don't really care much about comments (positive or not), I'm a bit scared of all those "this pics has been selected for the wonderful *insert random theme* group" etc things I saw on other people's pages, like this from Angella's pics: http://www.flickr.com/photos/angela_...ng/4754182768/ I don't want to be "rude" and delete everything/ignore everything similar forever, so I was wondering how often does that kind of stuff happen... Guess the best way to find out is start one myself, eh  ?

i dont mind those too much. like i said i like it if someone comments or leaves nice remarks. to be honest, i just like the fact that someones talking to me...
but you'll get shitty ones with stupid 'awards' that are given. those wind me up and could almost be bots for all the sense they make, it doesn't ruin my enjoyment of flickr though |
