well, not exactly shit but i really don't like it, the interface is stupid and it automatically rips songs as .m4a files which suck. besides it won't install on my windows millennium running 'putah.

I suppose Winamp and iTunes are both good, or at least better than most others. I don't use mp3 players on the computer or as a portable device anymore. I did back in 2002-3 though.

I got off those headphones, and into the surround sound.

You can actually change the auto rip to mp3, ACC, AIFF, or apple lossless.

Is there such a thing as a truly random track selection with these players?

I think that's why sites like last.fm were created. I don't know though, since I don't use those either.

Computers can't generate random numbers (i.e. the enigma machine) but complex equations are good enough.
