wow, this almost calls for my first ever trip to texas. the only thing more perfect would be having the butthole surfers on the bill, too!
saw the meat puppets a few months ago in seattle, they fucking tore shit up. i was seriously amazed.

sxsw can sometimes seriously be worth the trip. like this last time you couldve seen meat puppets for free and thurston for free at least twice then paid to see each once again, at least. i think thurston actually played four times. then tons of cool shows free and otherwise on top of that, then an amazing flyer convention and all other kinds of stuff.
