How long before an attack to the Vatican? Shortly after 911 there has been much talking about attacks planned against the vatican, (luckily) nothing happened till now, mabye the targets changed.

Very much so. Europe suffered more terrorist attacks in the 70's/80's than after 9/11. The USA never really experienced many either.
