Anyone see anything cool lately?

I saw W.A.S.P. on Friday and Dream Theater on Saturday. Both were surprises for my girlfriend. Both shows were great, but W.A.S.O. was way more fun and energetic. Also was at a bar so you could get close and rock out! -amestria

w.a.s.p. are awesome!!! one of the first cds i ever bought was their compilation first blood last cut.

dream theater are mega boring, but i like their album awake. i was a fan of them for many years because of that album

I read that coolio's starting a cooking show that's going to have a 4-piece band, a dj, and strippers, all in the kitchen.

i saw BB King on Saturday. lucille was freaking out at one point and making insane feedback.

I saw animal collective on monday. Too many scene kids there though. I would have thought there would be more hippie-types and less emo looking people. I'm not exactly a hippie but I associate AC with them more than scene music. I only saw two people in the place in tye-dye. One was me and the other was Avey Tare, the singer for AC.

Last friday I witnessed the great punk band Radiopuhelimet performing at this small bar/club. It was insanely good. I got tangled in the singer's mic wire while he came off the stage and walked among the audience. Also bought their maasäteilyä LP, which is also excellent.

That's something cool for ya. wasp can blow me.

i went to an april fools day show where local bands do cover shows as other bands. my friends the press gang were marvin gaye. it was excellent.

I bet that was a good show. Any Marvin Gaye, be it listening to his records, or his songs being covered by someone else, is fucking awesome in my book.
