I saw them in 2003, as part of Lee Perry's Meltdown at the Royal Festival Hall, so it was at "Standards" time. Here's a couple of reviews:

I saw them quite a few times before and at the release of Standards in '01. They were great live then but I started to lose interest in them with the release of It's All Around You. However, they were fantastic performing Millions Now Living Will Never Die at Koko as part of last year's Don't Look Back series.

I am a fan of this man though:

Barry Adamson
Queen Elizabeth Hall
Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 November 2007

Barry Adamson's love of jazz has always informed his music - from Miles Davis on the record player when he was young to his experience playing with Magazine and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds to his trademark dark urban soundtracks. As Southbank Centre's Artist in Residence for this year's Jazz Festival, he takes us through his newest album that draws on jazz and blues for inspiration and examines the genre of the soundtrack in depth with an evening of collaborations and special performances.

From the first screech of a lonely night-time cotton-field violin, to the bop eccentric horn players, and onto the nonstop immediacy of the computerised loops and samples, jazz has remained the defiant history maker that refuses to roll over and play dead' (Barry Adamson).

Tickets go on sale to Southbank Centre Members only on Wednesday 22 August at 10am and will go on general sale on Friday 28 August at 9am.

To book tickets, ring 0871 663 2580 or visit www.southbankcentre.co.uk

GURU GURU

LONDON MUSEUM OF GARDEN HISTORY
WED 19TH SEP, 2007 7.00pm

Part of the Capital Jazz Festival at the Garden Museum (now into its 5th year), this amazing concert sees the English debut for one of the most original and famous krautrock bands. Guru Guru, led by drummer Mani Neumeier, were leadings lights of the scene that gave us Can, Faust, Neu, Cluster, Tangerine Dream etc in the late 1960s and 1970s. This is their first London date in 40 years, and is not to be missed. Support act tbc.

The info that this is a TG gig seems to be from a very old post on TG's website, which only refers to an invitation to perform, not a confirmed date. However, this appears on the NWW myspace:

Nurse With Wound

Rumor has it this will be a performance with Throbbing Gristle.
