Wipers fucking rule, man!!!! One of my favorite bands of all time. Greg Sage was a guitar god. I think it's pretty crappy that he doesn't get the recognition he deserves for practically inventing the Northwest punk sound which ended up being called "grunge". Everyone credits the obvious: Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Sondgarden, when the were really just followers of Sage. It makes me sad in my heart thingy. =(

Akso, I just remembered that J Mascis was wearing a Wipers t shirt when he and Dinosaur Jr appeared on The Henry Rollins Show a few weeks ago on IFC. Very cool. Leave it up to J to redefine "cool".

damn a wipers video thats rare as fuck. I'd love to see any live footage from them especially during their peak from Is this real to Over the edge.
